Nino Lezhava Soprano

Nino Lezhava is a Georgian soprano of extraordinary artistic sensitivity, who graduated with highest honors in opera singing from the State Conservatory of Tbilisi. She later refined her training in Moscow at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Academy and in Italy at the International Academy of Singing "R. Tebaldi – M. Del Monaco" in Pesaro under Maestro Mario Melani.

From 2001 to 2008, she was a soloist at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre "Z. Paliashvili" of Tbilisi, performing iconic roles from the operatic repertoire such as Gilda (Rigoletto), Violetta (La Traviata), Norina (Don Pasquale), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni), distinguishing herself through vocal elegance and interpretative depth.

Her international career has led her to perform on stages across Italy, Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, and Kazakhstan, collaborating with prestigious orchestras and festivals. Awarded the "Eccellenza 2013" prize in Venice, she has performed in productions such as La Bohème (Mimì), Rossini’s and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, as well as in numerous recitals and gala concerts in important European venues.

Also highly regarded as a teacher, she regularly holds masterclasses in Italy, Russia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. In 2025, she was invited by the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow to lead a masterclass dedicated to young soloists of the theatre.

Since 2012, she has been Artistic Director and Superintendent of the International Academy of Singing "R. Tebaldi – M. Del Monaco" in Pesaro and is frequently invited as a jury member in international competitions and academic institutions, contributing to the promotion and preservation of the bel canto tradition.

In February 2026, she performed a recital in the prestigious Gold Hall of Augusta, Germany, upon invitation of the Richard Wagner Association of Augusta.
